Location: ACE Comics & Games
Shop 18/ 478 Ipswich Rd, Annerley QLD 4103

ACE is located a short 14 minute train ride from the Brisbane CBD, followed by a short walk. Alternatively, buses depart regularly from the city, dropping off within a block of the store.
There is plenty of parking behind the store, and in nearby side streets.

Cost: $40.00 AUS for the weekend

Main Event
40/40 Celestial Constructed Format follows all L5R floor rules.

Registration begins at 9:00am. Tournament starts at 10:00am

Honor Event – Theme deck
Rules for the theme decks contest.
1) The deck must be played in the Main Event, and must be tourney legal.
2) Submissions must be "family friendly"
3) The TO will take nominations from any player, not just the person playing the deck.
4) The player of the deck will be required to spruik their deck. Props and/or costuming will help.

Draft
For those who don’t make the cut.

Sunday
Uncommon Ground pairs with Random Event Deck of Doom™
Our usual multiplayer, event deck shenanigans, for the poor (games are more fun without the rares anyway).
Rares and Promos are not allowed in decks.
The only unique cards allowed in decks will be Events and Rings.
IG is legal. DaK is not.
Players will be randomly paired up, and play a four player game.

Legacy
If enough interest, we can run this Saturday night instead of draft.
Legacy will be Highlander format. For deck construction purposes, all cards are unique.



Prizes
Boosters, boosters and more boosters. Rare sets. Honor counters. Gift certificates. L5R calendars. L5R dice. Badges. Promos. And whatever else we can get our hands on.


Accommodation:
A handful of locals graciously offer up spare beds and floor space each year.
First to put their hand sup get first choice.

A number of hostels, backpackers and such are available close to the CBD.

Airport pick-ups can be arranged. Please arrange well in advance.


Food/Drinks
There are several fast food outlets and a supermarket within walking distance, and a pub across the road. Everything you could ask for.

Is there any information you can give us?  I'd like to know the location so I can look into accomodation.  Also, is Saturday or Sunday the Kotei event?

Kotei is on the Saturday, side events that night and Sunday, maybe Monday if wanted.

Let us know intent to come asap, and a local will put you up for the weekend.
First in, first served is our only rule, I believe.

Nudge nudge!

So, those details then?

Especially, are the rules for the Honour points the same as in Adelaide? I.e. you have to have a theme deck and also play it in the main event to be in the running for the player vote or some other determination? Or is this a separate competition somehow? And what factors might contribute to the judges determination for Honour Points "victory"? Or is that just what is needed to swing the crowd's voting?
